Frequently asked questions
What is billed?
Public API Access is a subscription to the documented HTTP API. It is not a charge for holding a key. Dashboard login and first-party POS plugins (Shopify, EPOS Now, Clover, WooCommerce) are not billed on these plans.
Are there setup fees or a free live plan?
No setup fees and no free plan. Standard is $29, Growth is $59, and Scale is $119 per month. Sandbox keys (ld_test_) are included with every paid plan. Cancel anytime from Manage billing in the dashboard; access continues to the end of the paid period.
What happens if I hit the monthly quota?
Each public key includes 100,000 calls per UTC month on Standard, 250,000 on Growth, and 600,000 on Scale. Hitting that cap returns HTTP 429 until the UTC month rolls over. Overage is not billed.
Can I change plans later?
You pick the plan on this page for the first subscription. After that, Manage billing in the dashboard opens the Stripe Customer Portal for your payment method and cancellation. Contact us for Enterprise.
I already use EPOS Now. Do I pay again?
No revenue share applies to the EPOS Now till relationship, and that till traffic is not billed as Public API. If you also call the public API yourself — for example Zapier or a custom integration with ld_* keys — that is a separate Public API Access subscription on this page.
Is platform traffic counted?
No. Shopify, EPOS Now, Clover, WooCommerce, WordPress, and dashboard session traffic are not Public API Access and are not metered on these Prices.
